THIS SATURDAY: Cranksgiving DC 2017, the food drive on wheels

On Saturday November 18th at noon kicks of Cranksgiving DC 2017!

Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Held annually and across the nation, since 1999, Bike to the Beach launched Washington DC’s very own Cranksgiving in 2013. Since then, Bike to the Beach has teamed-p with One Love Massive and a number of community groups to host this important food drive to feed those in need.

Our version promotes cycling and supports our local community with Miriam’s Kitchen. It is part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt … an awesome event!

All of the food and items collected at local stores will be donated to Miriam’s Kitchen, a non-profit organization that serves Washington DC residents via a breakfast program, case management, and transitional housing and after-breakfast programs.
