JBB’s It’s LIT! Book Drive is a collaborative effort between JBB Worldwide and One Love Massive that engages local businesses, community organizations, individuals, and families, in order to foster a love of reading in children and encourage local children to build their own home libraries.

1. Host a book collection drive in your community, church, or school from Monday 11/6 to Friday 11/10. And on the 11/11, all books will be brought to a central location. 625 T St NW.

2. Those who want to donate books but can’t make it on 11/11 can drop off their books at any of these locations:
– 631 T St NW (Grindstone)
– 100 Florida ave NE (Elevation)
– 101 U St NW (JBB Headquarters)
– 219 50 St SE (JC Nalle Community School)
– 2900 Van Ness St NW (Howard Law)

3. Encourage family, friends and community members to come out to the Cornerstone Lot on 11/11 from 12pm-4pm to pick up as many books as they would like for their home libraries. Also those who still want to donate will be able to drop off books on the 11th as well. On the lot the books collected will be sorted by genre.


Justice Behind Bars (JBB) is a social justice organization whose mission is to develop communities by promoting youth outreach, education, justice and the arts.

Starting out in 2015 as a hip hop group comprised of 3 Howard Law students, JBB’s purpose is to spotlight social justice issues, spread awareness and foster community development through mentorship, music, fashion, service and grassroots organizing.
