Get All The Feels from Collective Member zacheser’s “Fakin It” Edit

Chadwick Alexander & David Everett

Get all the feels from Collective member zacheser as he returns with another 80’s inspired, synth heavy groove on his edit of Kaskade and Felix Cartal’s “Fakin It.”Featuring a bumping series of 909 and 808 percussion patterns, neon drenched synths, and a Dirtybird inspired bassline, zacheser’s take on “Fakin It” elevates the track with his left-field approach creating something which feels classic, but relevant. With Ofelia K’s chopped vocals as a driving force and centerpiece of the edit, this is a remix which is intoxicatingly catchy and oozes with the stylings of classic house music.

Heres what zacheser had to say about “Fakin it” I came into this edit wanting to bring a minimalist, synth driven approach to what I thought was a great pop song. I was heavily inspired by artists like MK and Justin Martin when I got into the zone on this one: something I feel is seen both in the way the vocals are chopped and the kind of kicks and bassline I decided to use. I wanted it to be a driving, 80’s influenced, booty shaking banger.”
