Fourth Glow End Theory Residency Event at Black Cat Backstage Has Been Announced!


On Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Black Cat (1811 14th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20009) CMPTR CLVB alongside partners Electric Llama and AyoSoloTV will present their fourth Glow End Theory event. The event is inclusive to audiences of all ages, genders, races, and sexual orientations.

Glow End Theory 004 will host the exclusive premiere of Electric Llama’s Garnish Episode 14: #GLOWENDTHEORY from 8:00-8:30PM sharp with live coverage provided by AyoSoloTV. In addition, the event features DMV R&B singers Mudi and Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening Meche Korrect; DJs Trillnatured & Ducky Dynamo, and Glow End Theory Coordinator and Resident DJ Kryptk; alongside headlining singer/rapper/guitarist Fort Washington bred Sugg Savage. What is extra cool about this lineup is that all the performers (with exception of DJ Kryptk, a long time DC resident and Sugg Savage who is L.A. based, but frequents the DC area) are Maryland based artists.

Glow End Theory is a showcase and dance party, highlighting some of the best female artist in the DC art and music scene. The bi-monthly show provides a platform for women of color within the  genres of hip hop, electronic, wave, top trendy, underground, non-mainstream, and experimental music. Our own Marcus Dowling in a review of the first show wrote “There’s something important in how MODEST all of this is. There’s no bombast here outside of women making themselves heard onstage,”.

With a special focus on working with female entrepreneurs and visual artists throughout the production and marketing process, Glow End Theory’s foundation objective of highlighting local musicians alongside elevating the esteem of national/international arts & humanities professionals.

So, go to this event. It’s an incredible night full of amazing performances and people. Get hip to the movement, and some of the most badass women in locally based arts and music.
