MUSIC ON THE MASSIVE: Vesta – How Singers Cry
With only a couple tracks on SoundCloud and a video snippet gone viral, Vesta became a sensation. When she recently released her single “The Wrong Kind” prod. by Jack T.P., the interwebs were ready for more. Thats when the young VA artist released a 6-song project, “How Singers Cry”, that instantly swept people off their feet. With production from the likes of IQ, Noo$e, AN TY, and Al Feury, her range of vocals and subject matter carry the entire audience to a point in her life where love was a bad memory. The title track, which is also the full version of the video snippet, was instantly a standout.
MUSIC ON THE MASSIVE: Not.Alone – Black As The Ace of Spades EP
Maryland-based music collective Not.Alone and producer Kapitol have taken the music and societal pressures head on with their new 3-song EP “Black as The Ace of Spades”. Though the amount of music is small, the meaning is still just as powerful. With a heavy go-go influence and an instrumental production for the soul, this project is “about finding solace and pride in a melanted experience”.
