Stand Up, Reach Out

Please join us in the Gold Room at Eighteenth Street Lounge on Friday, August 10th for an early evening shindig from 6:00 – 9:30PM to benefit StandUp for Kids DC!

StandUp for Kids-DC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with the sole mission of helping homeless and at-risk youth. To support these aims, StandUp has a dynamic program that focuses on helping youth achieve their personal goals — whether those are short-term goals such as finding interview clothing, metro fare, hygiene items, or a meal, or longer term goals like obtaining a GED or getting a job.

The critical component of StandUp For Kids DC’s work, though, is telling youth that we care about them and then taking every opportunity to prove it. Young people crave supportive relationships, and StandUp exists to provide those.
