OVERVIEW OF IDEA
RaiseDC is a social and fundraising project testing the boundaries of collaboration through a music and arts centric event series. By raising exposure for local artists, funds for local non-profits, and civic engagement of young professionals in DC, we strive to create a virtuous nightlife.
THE SPECIFICS: WHAT WILL THE $2,500 FUND?
The funding would be used for two critical initiatives: legal incorporation fees and promotional development costs. Incorporation will help RaiseDC to enable sustainable growth by allowing for donor and sponsorship opportunities; establish formal credibility and, therefore, drive brand recognition; and ensure appropriate legal compliance. All of these outcomes will greatly progress our mission of orchestrating social change in our nation’s capital by way of collaborative events. Promotional development, including website design, will allow RaiseDC to highlight our beneficiaries’ work before and after our events, drive engagement with additional local artists, and reach a larger demographic within DC.
